iPad Kiosk Bar at AOL Advertising Week
During the recent Advertising Week event held in October in New York, AOL showcased new technology, content, and applications on iPads secured by nClosures Inc’s Rhino series iPad kiosk. As described by the Event Report on BizBash.com, “The central component of the gallery in the TimesCenter lobby was an iPad bar, a series of three tables topped with the tablets, with each table showcasing a different site, property, or product from AOL. For instance, there was one that showed a site the Huffington Post specifically launched for Advertising Week, another for AOL Video’s male-focused content, and one for AOL’s advertising trade site. The iPad Bars held up to 10 secure iPads mounted and enclosed by the Rhino Series aluminum enclosures and angled mounting brackets.
Other installations included a Rhino enclosure customized with a MapQuest vinyl “skin” designed to match the counter and backdrop display. “The information desk also incorporated a display for AOL subsidiary Mapquest, showcasing the mapping brand’s iPad app and a QR code that linked to a special lunch giveaway,” BizBash Event Report.
AOL has used the iPad kiosks as at four other events total this year.
